Use OpenCtrl with AI

Your AI assistant can use these apps for you. Ask in plain words, like you would ask a friend, and it finds the answer or does the work.

Connect OpenCtrl

Add OpenCtrl to your assistant once. Then it can look through the Store for you: find free swaps for apps you pay for, compare prices and tell you how to connect an app. No account or key needed.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Type a name, like OpenCtrl, and paste the link. Click Continue.
  4. Under Authentication, choose No sign in.
  5. Click Add.
  6. In a chat, click + at the bottom left, open Connectors and turn OpenCtrl on.

Works on every plan. The Free plan can add one of these. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it first, then you click Connect.

Using another assistant? If its settings let you add a custom connector (some call it an integration, a custom tool or a remote MCP server), paste the same link there.

What is this link?It's an MCP server: an open standard AI assistants use to talk to apps. OpenCtrl's link only reads what this website already shows, so it can't change anything.

Things to ask

With OpenCtrl connected, try:

  • “Find a free alternative to Typeform that I don't have to install.”

    It lists the apps on OpenCtrl that replace Typeform, with the ones you can open and use right away first.

  • “Compare Clayform and Typeform pricing.”

    It puts the two side by side. It only quotes prices and savings a person at OpenCtrl checked, and says so when a price isn't checked.

  • “Which apps for making forms work with AI?”

    It searches OpenCtrl for form apps your assistant can use for you.

  • “How do I connect Clayform to my assistant?”

    It explains the steps, the link to use and whether you need a key.

Today you connect each app on its own. Later, after you link your app accounts to OpenCtrl, one OpenCtrl connection will let your assistant use all your OpenCtrl Originals. There's no date yet.
