Sponsor OpenCtrl
We're looking for our first sponsors
OpenCtrl helps people find free and open-source software that replaces what they pay for, and run it themselves or on OpenCtrl Cloud. Sponsors help us keep the Store free, with no listing fees, and pay for the next Original.
Who you'll reach
- People leaving paid software
- They come to OpenCtrl comparing what they pay for (Typeform, Slack, Notion) with free and open-source apps that do the job.
- People who run their own apps
- Many self-host. They need servers, databases, email, backups and domains.
- Developers
- Open-source makers list their apps, build Originals with us, and connect them to AI agents through OpenCtrl.
We're early, so we'll share our real visitor numbers with you before you decide, and price the first sponsorships with you on that basis.
Where sponsors appear
- This page
- Your logo, a link and one line about what you do.
- Home page and footer
- A clearly labelled sponsor strip seen on every page.
- GitHub
- Your logo in the README of OpenCtrl and of our open-source Originals, Clayform and Ctrl Room.
- Release notes
- A thank-you when we ship.
A good fit if you make
- Hosting and server providers
- Databases, email delivery, storage and backups
- Open-source companies with a hosted version
- Developer tools and AI tooling
- Agencies that set up self-hosted software for businesses
What sponsorship never buys
OpenCtrl is a place people come to compare software honestly. Sponsors are always labelled, and sponsorship has no effect on:
- Where an app ranks in search, categories or comparisons
- Reviews, ratings or the savings we show
- Whether an app is approved, listed, certified or included in OpenCtrl Cloud
- What we say about a competitor
We may decline a sponsor whose product we wouldn't recommend.
