Overview

Clayform is a beautiful, conversational form builder you own. One question at a time, logic, scoring, file uploads and real analytics — with no response caps, no paywalled features and no monthly bill.

Built from the complaints

The same problems come up again and again in reviews of the big paid form builders: price jumps, response limits that stop forms mid-campaign, useful features behind higher tiers, thin reporting and clunky exports. Clayform is built to fix each one.

Question types

18 of them: text, email, phone, number, website, multiple choice, picture choice, dropdown, yes/no, ranking, rating, opinion scale, NPS, date, file upload, consent and statements.

Logic that reads like English

“If budget is at least 10000 and plan is Pro, go to Book a call.” Branch on answers, hidden fields or score, and send people to different endings.

Embed anywhere

Inline, popup or plain iframe, with hidden fields and a submit event for your own code. One script tag.

Use it or host it

Sign up on the hosted version and start building, or run your own copy with Docker. It's open source (AGPL-3.0) either way.

Self-hosting

Requires Node.js 22.13+ (Clayform uses Node's built-in SQLite, so there's no database to install).

Docker

Data (the SQLite database and uploaded files) lives in the clayform-data volume.

Vercel: import the repository, set CLAYFORM_SECRET, connect a Postgres database (Neon or Supabase) and redeploy. Full steps are in the README.
